Supporting charitable initiatives
25 years of Philanthropy
Swayam Krishi Sangam Foundation (SKS Foundation) was established on December 6, 1999 initially as Navariti. As a 501-c3 non-profit, SKS Foundation has supported a wide range of charitable activities in the United States and abroad.
Economic Development
SKS Foundation supported organizations in India that provided small loans for poor households to establish income-generating activities. The foundation also supported initiatives to provide grants and technical training to the poorest families in areas of operation.
Education for Disadvantaged Children
SKS Foundation supported schools in India that provided subsidized education to children of poor families in rural areas. Students include first-generation students, whose parents are often landless laborers or small farmers
Online Tutoring for Low-Income Students
SKS Foundation has partnered with an online tutoring organization to provide free high-quality online learning to low-income students in the United States and India to help young people to stay on track in foundational academic subjects, during the disruption caused by the pandemic.
“With the support from SKS Foundation, we have been able to serve our students better than ever.”
— Ratnakar Kulkarni, School Principal, The Bodhi School
